Solé Restaurant and Wine Bar continues its Legacy under the Charcoal Group

From John and the entire Cerny Family.

We are grateful to all of our friends and extended Solé family for the many years of incredible support and memories!  After

much deliberation and discussion, we have accepted an offer to sell Solé.

Solé will continue as Solé with the current team and will operate under new ownership and leadership of the Charcoal Group of Companies.  We are confident that together with the Solé team they will build on the foundation and continue the legacy we have built over last 24 years.   They will continue to nurture the relationships we’ve created with our loyal guests, team members and suppliers.

We are excited to be able to partner with the Charcoal Group and look forward to the support and proven strength of their group to help ensure Solé will remain one of the top restaurants in the region for generations to come.

When my parents opened the original Blackshop Restaurant in 1983, an eight-table bistro located in a small white house set back on Ainslie Street in Cambridge, I was 12 years old.  Since that time our restaurants have grown and we have had the fortune to build many friendships, partnerships and alliances.   We created many memories and built a reputation for great experiences and genuine care for each guest as well as the community.   That legacy will continue as the family will focus on the Melville Café in Cambridge.

Thank you for allowing me and the Solé team to be a part of the many cherished memories and being a part of the extended Solé family.   I look forward to the Solé team creating many more memories in the years to come!
